Marching Matadors

The Granada High School Marching Band program educates and engages students in the study of music fundamentals through performance.  The Marching Band is very busy in the first trimester with several band reviews, home football games and pep rallies. The second trimester teaches the students about music theory, which prepares them for two symphonic concerts. The Marching Band also participates in the Livermore Holiday Parade, and the community "give back" program 'Shop with a Cop'. In the third trimester, Band will perform in one more concert, prepares for the Livermore Rodeo Parade, involves themselves in community events, and performs and supports the GHS graduating class ceremonial procession. We hope that these band events help build their social and creative skills which allow them to work harmoniously in a group.  It is the Granada High School Music Program’s goal to help develop well-rounded students ready to take on higher education and the work place.
